HMS Bellona figurehead

This is 3D model of figurehead for HMS Bellona.

As usual it was sculped in Blender with only internal tools.

My base reference was HMS Bellona model from National Maritime Museum in Greenwich:

HMS Bellona (1760); Warship; Third rate; 74 guns

But it’s a pity that there is no higly details of figurehead and I decided and a little bit ugly to be honest.

So I decided to refer to original sculpture, but improve it.

Bellona is goddess of war with some special attributes: spear, original helmet with feathers and wearing armour. She holds shield with some ugly head (and honed) of undefined creature. Keep in mind all these I sculpted this figurehead.

I used makehuman program to create rigged women model to be able adjust pose in the Blender.
